José Joaquín Moreno Verdú (born January 6, 1975 in Hellín, Albacete), also known as Josico, is a Spanish football defensive midfielder
Football career
Josico made his debut in the Spanish first division with Albacete Balompié, in 1995-96. He went on to represent UD Las Palmas for four seasons, joining Villarreal CF in 2002-03, where he played a major part in the team's domestic and European consolidation (in 2004-05, Josico appeared in 29 contests, 28 as a starter, as Villarreal finished third).
Deemed surplus to requirements by Villarreal boss Manuel Pellegrini, Josico joined Fenerbahçe S.K. on 28 August 2008, as the Turkish League outfit was coached by former Spain manager Luis Aragonés.[2]
